After coming to Mumbai for making it big in Bollywood, he got his first big break in the movie ‘Deewana’ and with time; he became the Badshah in the hearts of his fan and went on to deliver hit after hit.
Undoubtedly one of the most popular Bollywood actors, not just in India but also across the globe, Shah Rukh Khan’s fan following surpasses generations. The quintessential romantic hero of the Bollywood acted in several television serials early on in his career (1980s). Fauji, Circus, Umeed etc. were few among them. After acting in ‘Deewana’ in 1992 he went on to play negatives roles in the very successful movies like Darr (1993), Baazigar (1993) and Anjaam (1994). However, later on his acting in a series of romantic films, including Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995), Dil To Pagal Hai (1997), Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998) and so on made him what he is today – the ‘King of romance’.
While talking to DNA India, he said "People inspire me. It's the fans and their love” when asked about what has constantly inspired him and stayed with him all these years. Shah Rukh Khan tweeted on Monday: “Expressing love, happiness, sadness, dancing, falling and flying. Hope I have touched small bits of your hearts and hope I can do so for the whole lifetime.”
